We specialize in repair of vintage Nakamichi cassette decks and other electronics from the “Golden Era” of Nakamichi. We do not work on the SoundSpace line or any more recent products.

Nakamichi cassette decks need periodic maintenance. If one has been sitting unused for any length of time it's likely to need the rubber replaced and the lubricants cleaned out and replaced. We specialize in repairs and rebuilds of any Nakamichi cassette deck from any vintage. We have a complete stock of the rubber parts necessary and the set up and test jigs required. We can usually accomplish a rebuild at a lower cost than others and generally have a turnaround time in the two to three week range. With the addition of our Sound Technology 1510A Tape Recorder Test Set we can now run complete and accurate specifications on the cassette decks we service to ensure that your deck is performing to the top of its capabilities.
